How this place is actually run.

We believe in being clear about how Albino Voices operates. Five short notes on what we do, what we don’t do, and how to push back if we get it wrong.

  • 01

    Funding

Albino Voices is currently self-funded. We do not accept advertising and have no commercial relationship with the sources we cover. Reader donations are routed through Every.org to verified partner charities — Albino Voices receives no portion of those funds.

  • 02

    Editorial independence

Editorial decisions are made independently. No source, organisation, or donor influences our story selection, framing, or scheduling. Sponsored content, native advertising, and affiliate links are not used now and are not planned.

  • 03

    How stories are produced

We monitor a curated list of trusted sources. New items are summarised with AI assistance, then reviewed by a human editor before publication. We use automation to help with first-pass language work and ethics screening — never to replace human judgement.

  • 04

    What human review looks for

Sensitive topics (attacks, children, medical detail), inspiration-porn framing, identity-first language, unverifiable claims, and image dignity. If a piece doesn't pass, it doesn't ship.

  • 05

    Corrections

We correct errors openly. When a published story is corrected after going live, the change and its date are noted at the foot of the article. Please write to us if you spot one.
