Albino Voices

About

A reading place, edited by people.

Albino Voices is an independent editorial project. We summarise public stories about albinism from verified sources and retell them with dignity, in plain language. Every piece is reviewed by a human editor before it is published.

01 · Mission

We make space for careful, human-first stories about albinism. The internet already has clinical encyclopaedias and viral news. We try to do something else: collect what is worth keeping, in a tone that does not flatten the people inside it.

02 · What we do

We monitor a curated list of trusted sources — human rights organisations, research bodies, advocacy groups, and community media. Stories are gathered from verified sources and retold in plain language by our editorial team, using AI-assisted summarisation.

Every published article links back to the original reporting. Facts and findings belong to their original authors; we do not claim authorship of the underlying reporting.

03 · Principles

  • 01

    Human-first language

“Person with albinism”, never “albino” as a noun. We say the person before the condition.

  • 02

    Every fact, attributed

Findings, statistics and quotes are traced to their source. Our voice is in the framing, never in the data.

  • 03

    A human reviews everything

Sensitive stories — violence, children, medical detail — require a second pair of human eyes before publication.

  • 04

    No advertising, no affiliate links

We accept donations, routed through Every.org to verified partner charities. Nothing else.

04 · Editors

Founded and edited by a small team that genuinely cares about this community. Full bios coming as we grow.
